HO SHAP, 32 years,

Fold on board Fishing Junk No.195 H.V.,

Hative of Shaukiwan, Hongkong,

States :-

I have worked four months on the above

junk.

The master is FAN YING.

At about 13.00 hours on 4.5.38, we

være sailing off MAN SHAN when a junk was observed in the

distance flying a distress signal.

The master, two fokis named SHEK KWU LO

and WONG CHEUNG TAI and I went alongside the junk in our

sampan. I could see two women on deck. They were calling

"Save life". The junk appeared to have been on fire. My

master went on board, but we three fokis remained in the

sampan. The two women were rescued and taken to Hongkong

which was reached on the afternoon of 5.5.38. Both had

wounds. My master told me he had seen some dead bodies on the burnt junk.
